Dr. Ann Sterckx

Founder

Ann Sterckx is a doctor in medical sciences, organizational psychologist and ecopsychologist with both academic and professional expertise. She is a board member of the International Ecopsychology Society (IES) and affiliated with the Chair of Care and Natural Environment at the University of Antwerp. She teaches (applied) ecopsychology, and combines this with research and projects on the reciprocal relationship between people, nature and health. In addition, she is active in various steering groups that are committed to the integration of nature, health, personnel and organization and education.

For her PhD, Dr. Sterckx developed a quality model for integrated nature-based interventions in healthcare, based on the frameworks of Planetary Health, One Health and Ecopsychology. She is passionate about supporting professionals and organizations to act as role models for sustainability by integrating these approaches into practice.

With EarthMoves she continues her mission: getting people and organizations moving for a regenerative, healthy and balanced relationship between people and planet.
